(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-102 Section-3)
Religious experience is the realization of the consciousness of having found God. And when a human being does find God, there is experienced within the soul of that being such an indescribable restlessness of triumph in discovery that he is impelled to seek loving service-contact with his less illuminated fellows, not to disclose that he has found God, but rather to allow the overflow of the welling-up of eternal goodness within his own soul to refresh and ennoble his fellows.

(From: George Eliot (1819 - 1880)
Blessed is the influence of one true, loving human soul on another.

(From: Lao Tzu )
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength; while loving someone deeply gives you courage.

(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-142 Section-1)
Love is the rule of living within the kingdom--supreme devotion to God while loving your neighbor as yourself.

(From: Iris Murdoch (1919 - 1999), O Magazine, February 2004 )
We can only learn to love by loving.

(From: Mary S. Calderone )
I truly feel that there are as many ways of loving as there are people in the world and as there are days in the life of those people.

(From: Abdul Baha, Paris Talks )
Do not be content with showing friendship in words alone, let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path.

(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-160 Section-2)
Friendship enhances the joys and glorifies the triumphs of life. Loving and intimate human associations tend to rob suffering of its sorrow and hardship of much of its bitterness. The presence of a friend enhances all beauty and exalts every goodness.

(From: Francois de La Rochefoucauld (1613 - 1680 )
The pleasure of love is in loving.

(From: Ken Keyes Jr., Handbook of Higher Consciousness )
A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world. Everyone you meet is your mirror.

(From: As told in Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes )
A Native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. He said, "I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one. The grandson asked him, Which wolf will win the fight in your heart? The grandfather answered, The one I feed.

(From: “Jesus” - The Urantia Book - Paper-133 Section-4)
“Know you not that the mystery of eternal salvation dwells within your own soul? Do you not know that the God of heaven has sent his spirit to live within you, and that this spirit will lead all truth-loving and God-serving mortals out of this life and through the portals of death up to the eternal heights of light where God waits to receive his children?”

(From: Barbara De Angelis )
You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back.

Scientists at NASA built a gun specifically to launch standard 4 pound dead chickens at the windshields of airliners, military jets and the space shuttle, all traveling at maximum velocity. The idea is to simulate the frequent incidents of collisions with airborne fowl to test the strength of the windshields.

British engineers heard about the gun and were eager to test it on the windshields of their new high speed trains. Arrangements were made, and a gun was sent to the British engineers.

When the gun was fired, the engineers stood shocked as the chicken hurled out of the barrel, crashed into the shatterproof shield, smashed it to smithereens, blasted through the control console, snapped the engineer's back-rest in two, and embedded itself in the back wall of the cabin, like an arrow shot from a bow.

The horrified Brits sent NASA the disastrous results of the experiment, along with the designs of the windshield and begged the U.S scientists for suggestions.

NASA responded with a one-line memo -- "Defrost the chicken." (True Story)

(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-140 Section-4)
Strong characters are not derived from not doing wrong but rather from actually doing right. Unselfishness is the badge of human greatness. The highest levels of self-realization are attained by worship and service. The happy and effective person is motivated, not by fear of wrongdoing, but by love of right doing.

(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-188 Section-4)
Jesus taught that service to one's fellows is the highest concept of the brotherhood of spirit believers. Salvation should be taken for granted by those who believe in the fatherhood of God. The believer's chief concern should not be the selfish desire for personal salvation but rather the unselfish urge to love and, therefore, serve one's fellows even as Jesus loved and served mortal men.

(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-193 Section-2)
Salvation is the free gift of God, but those who are born of the spirit will immediately begin to show forth the fruits of the spirit in loving service to their fellow creatures. And the fruits of the divine spirit which are yielded in the lives of spirit-born and God-knowing mortals are: loving service, unselfish devotion, courageous loyalty, sincere fairness, enlightened honesty, undying hope, confiding trust, merciful ministry, unfailing goodness, forgiving tolerance, and enduring peace.

(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-157 Section-2)
And when the feelings of service for your fellow men arise within your soul, do not stifle them; when the emotions of love for your neighbor well up within your heart, give expression to such urges of affection in intelligent ministry to the real needs of your fellows.

(From: “Jesus” - The Urantia Book - Paper-149 Section-6)
“I have come into the world to put love in the place of fear, joy in the place of sorrow, confidence in the place of dread, loving service and appreciative worship in the place of slavish bondage and meaningless ceremonies.”

(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-180 Section-1)
If you would share the Master's joy, you must share his love. And to share his love means that you have shared his service.

(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-156 Section-5)
Self-respect is always co-ordinate with the love and service of one's fellows. It is not possible to respect yourself more than you love your neighbor; the one is the measure of the capacity for the other.

(From: “Jesus” - The Urantia Book - Paper-174 Section-1)
“Love is the outworking of the divine and inner urge of life. It is founded on understanding, nurtured by unselfish service, and perfected in wisdom.”

(From: Hadewijch of Antwerp )
May your service of love a beautiful thing; want nothing else, fear nothing else and let love be free to become what love truly is.

(From: Oprah Winfrey (1954 - ), Stanford Commencement Adress, 2008 )
My constant prayer for myself is to be used in service for the greater good.

(From: The RSV Bible - John III 1:5)
Beloved, it is a loyal thing you do when you render any service to the brethren, especially to strangers

(From: Sir Wilfred T. Grenfell)
The service we render to others is really the rent we pay for our room on this earth. It is obvious that man is himself a traveler; that the purpose of this world is not "to have and to hold" but "to give and serve." There can be no other meaning.

(From: The ASB Bible - Ephesians 6:7-8)
With good will render service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord,

(From: Elbert Hubbard (1856 - 1915 )
Men are rich only as they give. He who gives great service gets great rewards.

You know how it feels when you do something nice/good/Loving for someone and they notice and appreciate it?

Yeah... That's what Loving Service is.

Loving Service to Family...
Loving Service to Friends...
Loving Service to Strangers...
Loving Service to those in need...
Loving Service to those who hurt...
Loving Service to All...

...is at the very same time, Loving Service to God.

Need I say more?

(From: “Jesus” - The Urantia Book - Paper-159 Section-2)
“I tell you that, even when a cup of cold water is given to a thirsty soul, the Father's messengers shall ever make record of such a service of love.”

(From: “Jesus” - The Urantia Book - Paper-147 Section-3)
You are all God's children; you are the sons of the heavenly Father. The bonds of time may seem to afflict you, but the God of eternity loves you. And when the time of judgment shall come, fear not, you shall all find, not only justice, but an abundance of mercy. Verily, verily, I say to you: He who hears the gospel of the kingdom and believes in this teaching of sonship with God, has eternal life; already are such believers passing from judgment and death to light and life. And the hour is coming in which even those who are in the tombs shall hear the voice of the resurrection."

(From: Olfana 4/17/95 - Half Moon Bay TeaM)
He showered this world with forgiveness and compassion! He saw, with sinless eyes, the drama unfolding before him. His heart opened to the pain and suffering, the fear and turmoil, that surrounded him in these final moments of his life--and with his compassionate heart, he offered forgiveness to all who sought to see him suffer. His nobility within this tragic drama was remarkable. His kind regard to all who judged him was most amazing. He did not look with anger upon any who condemned him. He saw them as the immature, and struggling, confused Children of God that they were. His focus was upon the Father. He redeemed this world through the power of the Father's Love!

(From: “Jesus” - The Urantia Papers - Paper-193 Section-1)
The acceptance of the doctrine of the fatherhood of God implies that you also freely accept the associated truth of the brotherhood of man. And if man is your brother, he is even more than your neighbor, whom the Father requires you to love as yourself. Your brother, being of your own family, you will not only love with a family affection, but you will also serve as you would serve yourself. And you will thus love and serve your brother because you, being my brethren, have been thus loved and served by me.
(From: “Jesus” - The Urantia Book - Paper-193 Section-0)
I lived my life in the flesh to show how you can, through loving service, become God-revealing to your fellow men even as, by loving you and serving you, I have become God-revealing to you. I have lived among you as the Son of Man that you, and all other men, might know that you are all indeed the sons of God. Therefore, go you now into all the world preaching this gospel of the kingdom of heaven to all men. Love all men as I have loved you; serve your fellow mortals as I have served you. Freely you have received, freely give.

(From: William Law)
“Receive every day as a resurrection from death, as a new enjoyment of life; meet every rising sun with such sentiments of God's goodness, as if you had seen it, and all things, new - created upon your account: and under the sense of so great a blessing”

(From: Sr. Joan Chittester, a Roman Catholic, Benedictine nun )
“The old news about Easter is that it is about the resurrection. The new news may be that it is not so much about the resurrection of Jesus as it is about our own.”

(From: The Tao Te Ching - #13 )
See the world as your self.
Have faith in the way things are.
Love the world as your self;
then you can care for all things.

(From: The RSV Bible - Matthew 22:37-40)
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets."

May your service of love a beautiful thing; want nothing else, fear nothing else and let love be free to become what love truly is.

(From: Rabbi Julius Gordon)
Love is not blind - it sees more, not less. But because it sees more, it is willing to see less.

(From: Jesus - The Urantia Book - Paper-157 Section-2)
“And when the feelings of service for your fellow men arise within your soul, do not stifle them; when the emotions of love for your neighbor well up within your heart, give expression to such urges of affection in intelligent ministry to the real needs of your fellows.”

(From: The RSV Bible - John 13:34-35)
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-196 Section-3)
Paul and his conferees founded a religion of faith, hope, and charity. Jesus revealed and exemplified a religion of love: security in the Father's love, with joy and satisfaction consequent upon sharing this love in the service of the human brotherhood.

(From: Ursula K. LeGuin )
Love doesn't just sit there, like a stone; it has to be made, like bread, remade all the time, made new.

(From: Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862 )
There is no remedy for love but to love more.

(From: Iris Murdoch (1919 - 1999 )
Love is the difficult realization that something other than oneself is real.

(From: Jean Anouilh (1910 - 1987 )
Love is, above all else, the gift of oneself.

(From: The Urantia Book - Paper-103 Section-9)
The ideal of religious philosophy is such a faith-trust as would lead man unqualifiedly to depend upon the absolute love of the infinite Father of the universe of universes. Such a genuine religious experience far transcends the philosophic objectification of idealistic desire; it actually takes salvation for granted and concerns itself only with learning and doing the will of the Father in Paradise. The earmarks of such a religion are: faith in a supreme Deity, hope of eternal survival, and love, especially of one's fellows.

(From: Karen Sunde )
To love is to receive a glimpse of heaven.

*******************************************
The Sermon
***********
Do you trust God's Love for you?
Do you equally trust God's Love for those that you Love?
Do you Love as much as you possibly can?

Can you answer no to any of those questions?
Then Love until you can only answer yes...

Can you answer yes to all of those questions?
Then Simply Love...

Does anything else really Matter?

Dear God,
You are Love. Where Love is, so are You. There is no Love without You.
