Always it is Within that we must look for the Resolve that is essential in order to Re-Solve the personal issues we were convinced we had already Solved before. The method of resolution may need to change completely… or perhaps it is only necessary to slightly adjust the perception of the process in order to enable the inner Resolve to provide it's impetus, it's momentum, it's motivations for personal growth and improvement.

…his disappointment when I didn't try to do my best.
…how proud he seemed whenever I Did.
…his cheering at all of my baseball games.

Does it not seem to you like an unusually excessive number of professed religious people have forgotten this injunction to treat others as they would have others treat themselves? It seems even less practiced by those who profess loyalty to the one who so often declared it? Have they forgotten? Do they not believe it? Have they chosen to ignore it? Or do they think they can pick and choose whom they should apply it to. Do they mistakenly think that it only applies to those who believe the same way as they do? Jesus never made such exceptions… where could that misperception have come from?

Let us each pray that we do not fall prey to that mistake… and let us also pray that if we find ourselves succumbing to it, that we quickly recognize the error and do instead what we know is Right and Loving and Compassionate.
