Greetings my Dearest Sisters and Brothers, and welcome again to Church Within's Story of the Week ["SOW Seeds”].

This week's SOW Seeds Story, contributed by: Bob Perks

Story of the Week
"I'll take whatever's left..."
(©2007 - By Bob Perks)
His hair needed the loving touch of someone who cared what he looked like.  He stopped caring a long time ago.
His clothes needed pressing or simply a bit of rearranging.  They hung on him now unlike the form fitting design he commanded when clothes made him walk taller.
It was clear he just stopped trying.
It was a fact that he did not wake up each day, he simply slid into place.  That place now was wherever he landed when he stopped the night before.
I looked into his eyes and saw his yesterdays.  He looked into mine and felt no real connection at all.
He could not stand erect.  He slumped.  He could not walk, he dragged himself along.
Physically handicapped?  Yes.  He was blind to his own potential and crippled by the weight of the world he kept on his shoulders.
I tried to speak with him but he had no interest in hearing from me.
Although he did say, "I am falling apart...falling down...crumbling."
Then he walked away.
He stayed with me, he remained a part of my every thought over the next few days.
There are things I see that impact me in such a way that they melt into my being.  There are words I hear that slip between my breathing in and breathing out and go directly to my heart.  I cannot rid myself of images flashed before my eyes nor exhale words that were meant for me to consume.
I am the life I choose to live.  So is he.
I have not seen him again and I don't suppose I ever will.  But still, I have a message for him.  Words from the Master that came too late for him but perhaps just in time for you.
"I'll take whatever's left and make you whole again."

Pastor's Quote of the Week
“You may be surrounded with small enemies and be retarded by many obstacles, but the big things and the real things of this world and the universe are on your side. The sun rises every morning to salute you just as it does the most powerful and prosperous man on earth.”

(From: The Urantia Papers - Paper-130 Section-6)

The Prayer
Dear God,
It is You that helps to keep me on the road to personal Wholeness… without You, the best I can hope to attain is Half.

You ALL are Within the Infinitely Loving Embrace of our Universal Parent,

The Creator's Eternal Love to all of You,
Pastor Daniel
