Greetings my Dearest Sisters and Brothers, and welcome again to Church Within's Story of the Week ["SOW Seeds”].

Jill and I are going to be visiting her family in Western Washington this week, so I'm sending the SOW early and I'll send The Sunday Service Late Sunday when we return.

Story of the Week
The Rope
(Author Unknown)

The story is about a mountain climber, who wanted to climb the highest mountain. He began his adventure after many years of preparation. Since he wanted the glory just for himself, he decided to climb alone. The night felt heavy in the heights of the mountain, and the man couldn't see anything. All was black. Zero visibility, and the moon and stars were covered by the clouds.

As he was climbing, just a few feet away from the top of the mountain, he slipped and fell into the air, falling at a great speed. The climber could only see the black spots as he went down, and the terrible sensation of being sucked by gravity. He kept falling and in those moments of great fear, all the good and bad episodes of his life flashed in his mind.

He was thinking now about how close death was getting, when all of a sudden he felt the rope tied to his waist pull him very hard.

His body was hanging in the air. Only the rope was holding him, and in that moment of stillness he had no other choice but to scream: HELP ME GOD!!!

All of a sudden, a deep voice coming from the sky asked, "What do you want me to do?"

"Save me, God!"

"Do you really think I can save you?"

"Yes, I do."

There was a moment of silence, and the man decided to hold on to the rope with all his might.

The rescue team tells that the next morning, a climber was found, dead and frozen. His body, hanging from a rope, his hands, holding tight to it. ONLY 10 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND...

Pastor's Quote of the Week
Although religious experience is a purely spiritual subjective phenomenon, such an experience embraces a positive and living faith attitude toward the highest realms of universe objective reality. The ideal of religious philosophy is such a faith-trust as would lead man unqualifiedly to depend upon the absolute love of the infinite Father of the universe of universes. Such a genuine religious experience far transcends the philosophic objectification of idealistic desire; it actually takes salvation for granted and concerns itself only with learning and doing the will of the Father in Paradise. The earmarks of such a religion are: faith in a supreme Deity, hope of eternal survival, and love, especially of one's fellows.

The Prayer
Dear God,
Always would I trust Your Voice… it is the trusting of my own ears that would be the challenging part.

You ALL are Within the Infinitely Loving Embrace of our Universal Parent,

The Creator's Eternal Love to all of You,
Pastor Daniel
